About Sauvignon Blanc
One way to describe the Black Edition Sauvignon Blanc could be ‘next generation’ Marlborough. It’s a rich, complex style that showcases Eveline’s talent and experience. Small parcel, concentrated fruit, wild yeast, barrel fermentation, time on lees, malo-lactic fermentation. And not made every year, just from exceptional vintages. For those on the quest to find the ultimate wine and food combination…this is the wine for you. Wonderfully gastronomic.
Q&A with Little Beauty
Q: What barrels are used for this wine?
A: 225 litre French Oak barriques. But older barrels. For this style, we want the Oak to be supportive but – importantly – subtle.
Did you know?
Glass type and shape will make a massive difference to how you might experience this wine. We’re a fan of a glass with a wider base, for movement and allowing the wine to ‘open up’. One of our favourites is the Riedel ‘WineWings’ Sauvignon Blanc glass. When these two get together, it makes a party in the glass!
